Posted - 24/06/2012 : 22:23:07 two great night nights with bruce & the gang, watched both shows from my now usual vantage point around eight rows from the front " in the pit " [1985 to present day]. way to many points to remember all,but heres a few !sunderland show was nils birthday [ 61] a sign held up at the front i wanna dance with nils the birthday boy ! [ two guys were pulled up to dance with him !strange look on nils face, one of whom weighed around 17 stone or so]. bruce danced with a few females [ glad to say] the largish lady in manchester [ one piece outfit union jacks all over it] was the pick of those. song wise 11 songs were played in manchester that were not played in sunderland, very rare outings for POINT BLANK,THE E STREET SHUFFLE,SAVE YOUR LOVE,PROVE IT ALL NIGHT 78,THE PROMISE [ SOLO PIANO]. SET TIMES WERE SUNDERLAND 3 HOURS 5 MINUTES. MANCHESTER 3 HOURS 20 MINUTES. SPOTTED A GREAT TEE SHIRT WORN BY A SCHOOL AGE LAD "BELIEVE THE HYPE" I REMEMBER THE HEADLINES WHEN HE PLAYED THE NORTH EAST' ST JAMES PARK 1985. " THE GREATEST SHOW ON EARTH" I DOUBT IF THE 50,000 IN ATTENDANCE EACH NIGHT WILL DOUBT EITHER OF THESE THINGS.
come on hyde park.
cheers paul.
