Well I thoroughly enjoyed that last night. Don't know whether it was sold out, but seemed a decent crowd in there by the time Kathleen came on.
Her band is tremendous, sympathetic when they need to be, and absolutely rocking when required as well. And she gives it everything. From some of the comments she made Kathleen seems to have a bit of an issue with her record company and/or how they position her. Hope she can sort that out.
A gripe to finish. Maybe I'm getting old, but I no longer find it acceptable to have to sit with legs out in front to prevent someone bursting in while using the cubicle facilities. Not one of the cubicles in the gents loos had a working lock on it. Frankly that's disgraceful and if I was a top suit in marketing at O2 I would be disgusted that my company's name was associated with that sort of thing.
Otherwise I liked the venue (my first visit) - but make sure you've attended to other matters elsewhere before arriving!
excellent night i thought ken ! kathleen & band excellent, a bit of cursing on the part of ms edwards [ thats the norm], she seemed a bit emotional at the end [ never a bad thing !]
