Hi Isobel
It was quite a band - See Pic

A Tribute to Guy Clark album was a good nominee
Gillian Welch and Dave Rawlings noms richly deserved.

It peaked at about 280 people watching the live video at 8pm UK time. Not many present in audience. Bit confusing as broadcast from L.A but on video caption hosted by Music City Routes showed The Loveless Cafe in Nashville. An early start for the performers 11am. Lucinda Williams looked like she had just got out of bed and forgot to brush her hair, very rock 'n' roll.

ADDED:
No Depression Magazine share my thoughts about Gretchen Peters omission - good on em', same with Matraca Berg too. Is the fact that they have "country baggage" meaning they were excluded from peoples mind?

Hi Andy,

These are the awards that appear to be the ones that are richly deserved by the nominees concerned,

It's great to see Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit in there. They made a fabulous album with "Here We Rest", It is one of the Americana albums I keep turning to over recent months. Ditto "The Harrow & The Harvest" which, as I'm sure you found after a couple of listens grew in your appreciation of its contents. "Harlem River Blues" ensured Justin Townes Earle was elevated to the premier league of alternative country artists.

As for the nominatons for emerging artists, all have made a deservedly big impact in the last few months. No question, the good health of the Americana scene is there for all to see. I especially liked the Dawes album.
